ICLW Welcome

Just wanted to send a quick hello and welcome to any bloggers out there discovering my site for the first time through ICLW.  If you are interested in learning more about me and my IF journey, you can check my "About Me" page or by taking a look at my side bar TTC time-line.
Also, please feel free to tell me a little about yourself and your blog.  I am always looking out for new IFers to follow, and new friends to be made.

Our Journey, the short short version:
DH and I have been trying for baby #1 for a little over one year.  DH = healthy, me = PCOS and Hypothyroidism.  Pregnancies = 0.  :(
We are seeing an RE for the first time, and basically hoping for a miracle.

I hope your appointment with your RE goes well. It is really important to have a comfortable relationship with your RE.
My infertility blog is called Time Well Wasted. My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for 2 and a half years and it has been one heck of a journey so far! I too love meeting new people through ICLW. I am your newest follower and look forward to supporting you throughout your journey. Feel free to stop over to mine and join our crazy ride!

  6. Here from ICLW. My partner and I pay out of pocket as well, making diagnosis and treatment a long term process. Sorry to hear that your RE consult was not what you were hoping for. Now that you are a patient, if your questions weren't answered in person, call the nurse coordinator to discuss anything that lingers in your mind or doesn't make sense to you, and if they aren't answering your questions and earning your trust as a patient, then it might be worth the money to take your test results and set up a second consult elsewhere.

Very Best Wishes for beginning treatment. It can be an overwhelming leap, but this is a wonderful community that will support you along the way!

  11. Here for ICLW. :-)I really hope that things get better with this RE you're seeing. Jill's suggestion to call the nurse with further questions is a good one. Getting answers can be so important. I'm dealing with mild PCOS, too, but I also have a clotting disorder and some other issues . . .

I know that you're paying out of pocket, but it still might be worth checking out at least one more RE if you don't end up feeling satisfied with this one. Having a doctor you feel comfortable with can make all the difference, especially if you're paying him or her a lot of money. ;-)

  12. Hello :)
I'm new to your blog, via ICLW. I am adding you to Reader so I can follow along and cheer you.

I, too, have PCOS. We were very blessed to conceive via IUI, and I am now in the midst of raising a toddler. I hope that your journey will bring you to the same place very soon!
